Contest Rules

1. Sponsor

The HotSpot Weekly Leaderboard Contest ("Contest") is sponsored by HotSpot Technologies ("Sponsor"), reachable at team@hotspotbars.com.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of the App Developer, along with their immediate family members, are permitted to use the App and participate in the ranking system for testing and community engagement purposes; however, these individuals are strictly ineligible to receive any rewards or cash prizes. If an ineligible participant appears in a winning position on the leaderboard, the prize will automatically default to the next eligible participant in the rankings.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Contest Period

The Contest runs on a weekly basis. Each contest period begins on Thursday at 12:00 PM Central Time and ends on Thursday at 11:59 AM Central Time ("Contest Week"). A new Contest begins automatically each Thursday.

4. How to Enter

To enter the Contest:

1. Download the HotSpot app and create a free (non-bar) account
2. During the Contest Week, submit eligible contributions including:
   • Bar ratings
   • Cover charge information
   • Wait time reports
   • Crowd/gender ratio data

Each valid submission earns points toward the weekly leaderboard. There is no limit to the number of submissions you can make during a Contest Week.

Voucher and event ticket purchases made through the App also earn bonus points toward the weekly leaderboard. However, purchases are entirely optional and are not required to enter or win.

No purchase is necessary. All app features required for Contest participation are free. A purchase will not guarantee a higher ranking.

5. Scoring and Rankings

Points are awarded for valid submissions as follows:

• 100 points – Bar rating submission
• 100 points – Cover charge submission
• 100 points – Wait time submission
• 100 points – Crowd ratio submission
• 50 points – Bar attendance

Bonus points from optional purchases:

• Voucher purchases – Points equal to the total amount charged (voucher price + service fee)
• Event ticket purchases – Points equal to the ticket price (excluding tax)

Purchase-based points are supplemental. Free submissions alone are sufficient to compete and win. Additional points may also be earned by completing special challenges announced within the app.

• Point values may be adjusted at Sponsor's discretion
• Only submissions made during the current Contest Week count toward that week's leaderboard

Rankings are calculated automatically and displayed in the app. Sponsor reserves the right to adjust scoring algorithms without prior notice.

6. Winner Selection

At the end of each Contest Week, the top three (3) participants on the leaderboard will be declared winners:

• 1st Place: Highest score
• 2nd Place: Second highest score
• 3rd Place: Third highest score

In the event of a tie, the participant who reached the tied score first (based on submission timestamps) will be ranked higher.

Winners will be notified via the app and email within 48 hours of the Contest Week ending.

7. Prizes

Prizes are awarded at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prize details, including type and value, will be announced within the app before each Contest Week begins.

Prizes may include but are not limited to:

• Cash payments via Venmo or similar payment services
• Gift cards
• HotSpot merchandise
• In-app recognition and badges
• Other rewards as determined by Sponsor

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): Prize values vary by week and will be disclosed prior to each Contest Week. If no prize value is announced, the Contest is for recognition and in-app rewards only.

Prizes are non-transferable. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

8. Prize Fulfillment

Winners must acknowledge their prize by responding to our email. Sponsor will contact winners via email from rewards@hotspotbars.com to arrange prize delivery. Please check your spam or promotions folder if you do not see our email in your inbox. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within fourteen (14) days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

For cash prizes, winners must provide a valid Venmo username (or other accepted payment method) to receive payment. Winners are responsible for any fees charged by payment services.

Winners may be required to provide additional information for prize fulfillment, including a valid mailing address for physical prizes or tax information (such as a W-9 form) if required by law.

9. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants and the quality and quantity of their submissions during each Contest Week.

10. Disqualification

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

• Submits false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempts to manipulate the leaderboard through automated means, multiple accounts, or other prohibited methods
• Violates the HotSpot Terms of Service
• Engages in any conduct that Sponsor deems inappropriate or harmful to the Contest

Disqualified participants forfeit any prizes and may be banned from future Contests.

11. Publicity

By participating, winners agree that Sponsor may use their username and general location (city/state) for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless HotSpot Technologies, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liability arising from your participation in the Contest or receipt of any prize.

Sponsor is not responsible for:

• Technical failures, errors, or malfunctions
• Lost, late, or misdirected submissions
• Unauthorized access to or theft of data
• Any injury or damage related to participation or prize use

13. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time for any reason, including but not limited to fraud, technical issues, or circumstances beyond Sponsor's control.

Any attempt to deliberately damage the app or undermine the Contest is prohibited and may result in legal action.

14. Governing Law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

15. Privacy

Information collected in connection with the Contest is subject to the HotSpot Privacy Policy. Participant data will be used for Contest administration and prize fulfillment.

16. Winner List

For a list of winners, send a request to team@hotspotbars.com within 30 days after the applicable Contest Week ends.
